“Heart for the Least, the Last and the Lost"

Confidence, Thought Conditioners, What About Tomorrow, Hope, Let The Bible Help You and How To Make Jesus Your Best Friend. Sound familiar? They are titles of some of Guideposts Outreach most powerful booklets—and they also play a critical role in the lives of incarcerated women served by the Welcome Home Ministries.

Since 2003, Welcome Home has received a steady supply of inspirational materials from Guideposts Outreach – “These materials are very special,” says Rev. Carmen Warner- Robbins, who founded Welcome Home in 1996 -- a peer-driven, faith-based re-entry ministry for women.. The name of the ministry, she says, came from an extraordinary prayer experience, and in the twelve years since, Welcome Home, based in San Diego, CA, has been a growing and vital force in the lives of more than 5,000 incarcerated women.

For the last five years, thanks to generous donations from friends like you, Guideposts Outreach has been a pillar of spiritual support, providing thousands of booklets and other inspirational materials. This spiritual material forms the heart of special ‘kits’ created by Welcome Home for women at various stages of their prison experience, and are an essential part of a ‘goodie bag’ of helpful materials the women are given when released. prison ministry prayer ministry
