Guideposts Comfort Kits Is Now a Full-Fledged Ministry Program

It was a glorious, celebratory day this past April in Branson, Mo. when Rhonda R. Neal, Manager of Outreach Services, announced the official kick-off of the Guideposts for Kids Comfort Kit Ministry to our National Advisory Cabinet and Guideposts friends. Opening ceremonies were followed by an inspiring presentation by Chaplain Cavett demonstrating the critical spiritual value of Guideposts Outreach newest program for ill and hospitalized children. Chaplain Anna Gentile closed by dedicating the kits with a grateful prayer.

The launch of the program comes after a survey of 35 pilot hospitals using the program for several months generated a resounding positive response. Within the U.S. there are 141 stand alone children’s hospitals and 1,581 hospitals that have pediatric units. There are 3,000 national hospices and thousands of like-minded organizations that service ill and injured children. This leaves tremendous room for future expansion.
